كيف يعمل الدواءHow it works
  • ميمانتين: يُعتقد أنه يعمل كمضاد غير تنافسي (يغلق القناة المفتوحة) منخفض إلى متوسط الألفة لمستقبلات NMDA فيقلل آثار التنشيط المستمر بالجلوتامات؛ ولا يوجد دليل على أنه يمنع التنكس العصبي أو يبطئه (النشرة الأمريكية).مضاد لمستقبلات NMDA (غير تنافسي منخفض إلى متوسط الألفة)
  • Memantine hydrochloride: Postulated to act as a low-to-moderate affinity uncompetitive (open-channel) NMDA receptor antagonist, reducing effects of persistent glutamatergic activation; no evidence that it prevents or slows neurodegeneration (US label).
