أونданسيترون: يغلق مستقبلات 5-HT3 على الأعصاب المبهمية وفي منطقة تحفيز القيء، مما يثبط غثيان وقيء العلاج الكيماوي والإشعاعي وما بعد الجراحة.مضاد انتقائي لمستقبلات السيروتونين 5-HT3

Ondansetron: Blocks 5-HT3 receptors on vagal afferents and in the chemoreceptor trigger zone, suppressing chemotherapy-, radiotherapy- and postoperative nausea/vomiting pathways.
