Ampicillin 1000 mg + sulbactam 500 mg powder for injection, 1 vial.

• Skin and skin structure infections caused by susceptible beta-lactamase-producing strains (adults; pediatric patients 1 year and older).
• Intra-abdominal infections caused by susceptible beta-lactamase-producing strains (adults).
• Gynecological infections caused by susceptible beta-lactamase-producing strains (adults).

• Local: pain at IM injection site (16%), pain at IV site (3%), thrombophlebitis (3%), phlebitis (1.2%). Systemic: diarrhea (3%) and rash most frequent.نشرة دولية لنفس التركيبة

• History of serious hypersensitivity reactions (e.g., anaphylaxis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome) to ampicillin, sulbactam or other beta-lactams (penicillins, cephalosporins).نشرة دولية لنفس التركيبة
• Previous cholestatic jaundice/hepatic dysfunction associated with ampicillin/sulbactam.نشرة دولية لنفس التركيبة

• Serious, occasionally fatal hypersensitivity (anaphylactic) reactions; inquire about prior penicillin/cephalosporin allergy.نشرة دولية لنفس التركيبة
• Hepatotoxicity (hepatitis, cholestatic jaundice), usually reversible but deaths reported; monitor hepatic function in hepatic impairment.نشرة دولية لنفس التركيبة

• ProbenecidDecreases renal tubular secretion of ampicillin and sulbactam, increasing and prolonging blood levels.
• AllopurinolConcurrent use with ampicillin substantially increases the incidence of rash.
• AminoglycosidesShould not be reconstituted together (in vitro inactivation of aminoglycosides by ampicillin).
