- Amoxicillin: Bactericidal beta-lactam that inhibits bacterial cell-wall biosynthesis during active multiplication; inactivated by beta-lactamases (US label, section 12.4).
- Flucloxacillin: Isoxazolyl penicillin of the beta-lactam group with bactericidal activity against many Gram-positive organisms, including beta-lactamase-producing staphylococci and streptococci (UK SmPC).
