• In adult hemodialysis-dependent CKD trials the most frequent adverse reactions were hypotension (39.4%), muscle cramp (29.4%), nausea (14.7%), headache (12.6%), graft complication (9.5%) and vomiting (9.1%). • Iron sucrose: Aqueous complex of polynuclear iron(III)-hydroxide in sucrose; after IV administration it dissociates into iron and sucrose, and the iron is transported bound to transferrin to erythroid precursors for incorporation into hemoglobin (US Venofer label, 12.1).
