- أسيكلوفير: Guanine nucleoside analogue phosphorylated by viral thymidine kinase; the triphosphate inhibits viral DNA polymerase and terminates DNA chain elongation.
- Aciclovir: Guanine nucleoside analogue phosphorylated by viral thymidine kinase; the triphosphate inhibits viral DNA polymerase and terminates DNA chain elongation.
