• Boxed warning: administer under the supervision of a physician experienced in cancer chemotherapy. Anaphylaxis and severe hypersensitivity reactions (dyspnoea and hypotension requiring treatment, angioedema, generalized urticaria) occurred in 2-4% of patients; fatal reactions occurred despite premedication. • Bone marrow suppression (primarily neutropenia) is the dose-limiting toxicity; frequent peripheral blood counts are required. Severe cardiac conduction abnormalities have been reported; peripheral neuropathy is frequent.
