• Serious and occasionally fatal hypersensitivity (anaphylactic) reactions have occurred with penicillins, more often in patients with a history of penicillin hypersensitivity or multiple allergies; cross-reactions with cephalosporins are reported. • Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhea has been reported with nearly all antibacterial agents and may range from mild diarrhea to fatal colitis; it can occur more than two months after treatment.
