Flibanserin 100 mg film-coated tablets, pack of 5, by Rameda (Egypt); serotonin agonist-antagonist for hypoactive sexual desire disorder in women.

• Treatment of women less than 65 years of age with acquired, generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD): low sexual desire causing marked distress or interpersonal difficulty, not due to a co-existing medical or psychiatric condition, relationship problems, or the effects of a medication or other drug substance. • Flibanserin: Mechanism in HSDD is not known; in vitro flibanserin shows 5-HT1A agonist and 5-HT2A antagonist activity, with moderate antagonism at 5-HT2B, 5-HT2C and dopamine D4 receptors (US ADDYI label).
