- Ketoacidosis: life-threatening (including fatal) ketoacidosis has occurred; risk is markedly increased in type 1 diabetes, for which the drug is not indicated, and can occur in type 2 diabetes even with blood glucose below 250 mg/dL. - Genitourinary infections: increased risk of urinary tract and genital mycotic infections; serious infections including urosepsis, pyelonephritis and necrotising fasciitis of the perineum (Fournier's gangrene) have occurred. كيف يعمل الدواءHow it works
- إمباجليفلوزين: يثبط ناقل SGLT2 في الأنبوب الكلوي القريب فيقلل إعادة امتصاص الجلوكوز المرشح ويزيد إخراجه في البول.مثبط ناقل الصوديوم والجلوكوز 2
- Empagliflozin: Inhibits SGLT2 in the proximal renal tubule, reducing reabsorption of filtered glucose and increasing urinary glucose excretion (US label).
