• Boxed warning: fluoroquinolones, including ciprofloxacin, have been associated with disabling and potentially irreversible serious adverse reactions occurring together, including tendinitis and tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy and central nervous system effects; discontinue immediately and avoid fluoroquinolones in patients who experience them.
