• Amlodipine: Inhibits transmembrane influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, acting as a peripheral arterial vasodilator.
• Benazepril: Benazepril and its active metabolite benazeprilat inhibit ACE, reducing formation of angiotensin II (a vasoconstrictor) and aldosterone secretion.
