• Boxed warning: fluoroquinolones are associated with disabling and potentially irreversible serious adverse reactions occurring together, including tendinitis and tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy and CNS effects; discontinue immediately at the first signs. May exacerbate muscle weakness in myasthenia gravis (avoid).
