Linagliptin 5 mg film-coated tablets, a DPP-4 inhibitor used with diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes.

• Adverse reactions in at least 2% of patients and more often than placebo: nasopharyngitis (7.0% vs 6.1%), diarrhoea (3.3%) and cough (2.1%).
