كيف يعمل الدواءHow it works

ميتفورمين: يقلل إنتاج الكبد للجلوكوز ويقلل امتصاصه المعوي ويحسن حساسية الإنسولين بزيادة امتصاص الأنسجة الطرفية للجلوكوز واستخدامه؛ ولا يغير إفراز الإنسولين (النشرة الأمريكية).بيجوانيد

Metformin hydrochloride: Decreases hepatic glucose production, decreases intestinal glucose absorption and improves insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization; insulin secretion remains unchanged (US label).
